Hi Robert - not easy

Jul 18, 2020,06:48 AM

As you say they are rare on the market. Here are my best ideas. 1) post a “want to buy” ad here on the sales board. 2) Watch auctions closely. 3) leave a message with some of the dealers you trust, that you are looking for this piece. These often know what their clients have in their collection and may ask them.
Hope you will get one.
Best
Christian

Trying to compare the looks between platinum and rose gold... ...

Left... LOL!

Not a huge fan of red/rose gold and I think the white dial/blue hands combo is better suited to the platinum case. For the gold, I feel this combo is better: ...

Better Red than dead.

 By: TheMadDruid : July 17th, 2020-13:43
Am I aging myself?

I really do think this dial is better on both PT and RG.

 By: Jay (Eire) : July 17th, 2020-14:10
“Better” is obviously very subjective but I’m thinking more contemporary and more versatile too.

I meant better to be a Communist than dead.

You’re the one who said you’re leaning left.

LOL! Not sure about that 😂 [nt]

If you ever think about getting in to FPJ, this is a great way to start! Dont think of it as entry level. It is a superb manual wind chronometer. have a great weekend best Christian

this just looks so right, Ed! FP really nailed it with this one.

 By: ChristianDK : July 17th, 2020-16:09
I especially love it in this gestalt, with the white platinum against the purple dial. It has a simplicity and purity but the watch just pops in a really elegant way! Enjoy you weekend and this beautiful watch, my friend Best Christian

Have a good weekend all. And to Christian, sorry to hear your summer holidays are coming to an end. The consolation may be you are in a part of the world where the long summer days will continue for a while yet. It’s one of those things I miss about home....

I like them 👍 [nt]

I was thinking that when looking at some of the pictures I snapped. Perhaps the Clown (or the Joker) would appeal to F.P. in some ways.

Christian, in your opinion, what's the best way to go about acquiring a 38mm CS Platinum?

 By: Robert65 : July 18th, 2020-01:34
The smaller 38mm CS platinum (guilloche dial) rarely come available in the regular (chrono24, crown&caliber, watchbox, etc) grey market sites. I love to receive some advice on this elusive search! Best, Robert
