Fooling around with straps

I have had this idea in my mind for some time. I don’t have the correct pins so they are not mounted. It think it changes the watch quite a bit.

Somehow the brushed titanium and the suede seem to go well together.

Both look beautiful on your Elegante .

Especially with the winter around the corner.

Interesting idea

and I bet that compared to the rather thick rubber strap these will make the watch feel quite different as well.

Yes it does. I’m thinking of working with a good costum strap maker to get the details perfect.

Only problem is requires me travel. I’ve done some nice ones with Jean Rousseau in Paris. For now I may fiddle around with this one and then d a better one at a later stage. I’m quite keen on the idea,

I think it's a great idea

and I think I'd like to give it a shot as well. I had a strap done by Vladimir Petrov recently, and, while he does take some time, I'm really quite satisfied. Going to him for the Vagabondage as well. And you're right, it is a complex strap at the lug end...

Thank you, Tony 😃

It does seem to get the most votes. I’m seriously considering getting a costum strap now.

This one has straight pins and is 18/18 mm

The lugs are an unusual shape so it might be good with a slight padding at this end.

Beautiful!

does it have the same strap size at the vagabondage? if so, you can probably use the same spring bars no?

Thank you, A 🙏

Same size. But they need to have the pull tabs. The is no room for a tool Bremen the lugs and the strap. It means I need to have a hole in the strap for the pull tabs.

That looks a little jarring at first, we are not conditioned to seeing this.

But looking again I do like what it does to the watch. The colours yes, but also the texture is an interesting contrast (as so different from what we are used to seeing).

I feel silly for saying this, but it never occurred to me to envision a leather strap on an Elegante.

I don’t know why that’s the case, since I like having various straps for all of my watches and often envision them with different options. But the ‘mock ups’ you have here show a really great look for the watch—I hope you get the pins you need soon and st...

I’m afraid I caught the elgante bug
