Hello all,
I was invited to the Vacheron Constantin event at The Hour Glass Ginza yesterday and here is the photo report. There used to be Japan only models until a few year ago but not now. There is no VC boutique in Tokyo, either. But they did quite a good job to "renovate" THG and literally converted it to VC boutique for a week. Tokyo needs VC boutique.....
Without much talk, here we go!

3. Handling some of them.
Now, this is ULTRA THIN!! Very impressive! (in compasiron is Lady's Little Lange 1 of one of the guests)

Although less thin than the above, this is also very thin in the global standard....

Very handsome skeleton watch, really.

This is thin, too.

3.5. The World Time
Interesting function, although a bit too big for me... but nice.

Worldtimer GTG
4. From the guests wrists
As impressive as the ones on display.... Clearly, VC fanatics in Japan has gathered here from all over the country.

Geneve seal on the dial - very rare.

Non-VC wrist shots....

5. Brand CEO Vincent Gouget
He was appointed to this position just 6 months ago. But he has long experience in the luxury industry in Japan - he has been in Japan for 10 years and has family here and he did not leave the country after the quake, rather thought he had to stay here. How noble!
He would like to attract more and more attention from Japan's refined tasted collectors and this event is one of the attempt to re-introduce the brand to this market.
His wrist shot. Nice, fist his wrist very well.
This was actually for me the first time to see and touch so many VCs with my own eyes and hands. I am expecting a lot from Mr. Gouget's leadership to be in the better and better position in this market. Will follow up the endeavor from time to time.
Thank you for reading and sorry for lots of photos (as usual....
)
Ken
