Just got some info from UNION, regarding the next months:
As I wrote already some time ago, there is now a new dial available: It has the same rough-structured silver surface than that of the hand-wound Bergter watches and looks striking. I have seen the new selfwinding perpetual with that dial, and I will post some pics here within the next days.
Additionally, all selfwinding watches will now be delivered with a deployment clasp, which until now was only available extra.
Per January 1, 2003, the prices of UNION watches will be raised, depending on the model. As an average, the price increase will be 3.5 %.
The production of the following models will be discontinued per March 2003:
* Regulator
* Full Calendar
* GMT
* Perpetual (older model without the panorama date)
* Automatic with small date and white dial
* Chronograph with white dial
* Power Reserve with white dial
* Panorama Date with white dial
The latter four will receive the new silver dial as a standard. However, the dealers will have at least some of the discontiued watches in stock for a longer period, so it should be possible to find one of these watches even after March 2003.
No info on really novelties, yet, but UNION will disclose them traditionally in February, during the Munich watch show, Inhorgenta.
That's all, folks!
