The things we do for you ...

I woke my wife up at 6: "Honey, sunrise at 6:51 and boys in the cold climates are waiting for photos of sunshine!”

She went for it. We drove down towards the harbor and stepped out into the crystal clear 40° F (4.44° C) air which is darn cold for us!

Nothing like the cold on Whidbey Island, where my pal Jim took this picture maybe 12 hours ago…

I’m glad to see the moon made it all the way down here. All manner of folks were walking, jogging, cycling, etc

Wife giving me the eye smile

50-meter Motor Yacht SeaNash is heading South to Cabo San Lucas at the bottom of Baja. No doubt it’s warmer down there.

I think they appreciate the beauty of the mornings.

A virtually silent speed boat crosses the bay - maybe 50-60 mph with no sound and no wake. I think they are going to check the bay entrance, because a warship is heading out too.

The destroyer Pinkney

The sun keeps inching higher and closer.

The Pinkney crew is out on deck,

front and rear. Oops, Bow and Stern.

A Fisherman pulls up, we wish him good luck, he casts and settles down to wait.

A crazy tourist in flip-flops slaps past us.

We look at each other incredulously!?

The view to the West is brightening.

The Moon is now in a chocolate sky to our Northwest - ash from fires in LA perhaps?

Pinkney slides past us silently on its way out.

I see light on the windows in Point Loma. The sunrise will happen soon.

BANG!

The light hits us.

A Cormorant surfaces and heads sunward.

Our MIssion Accomplished, it’s time to take her home to a warm kitchen.

The flowers are turning towards the sun too.

Ah, warm tea cups.

I see the date is wrong on my watch photos. Sorry about that - here you go, it’s the 14th.
