The Morgan Experience.

Would you say no to a friend who calls to to ask you if you are ok for a drive in a Morgan?

I am not the kind of guy to let a friend in the pain, so I answered YES.

The air was fresh, a bit windy, but no rain, for once.

So we took off close to my house, direction Auvers Sur Oise, the favourite Impressionists' place, which is very à propos for a surrealistic moment.

It is a 60 Kilometers ride, which will lead you to go through Paris, then take the highway till Pontoise, to finally enjoy the small and disorienting roads in the middle of the countryside.

These small roads are the best way to enjoy the Morgan at its maximum, as it is difficult to drive it at more than 140 Km / H, not because of the chassis, which is excellent as long as the road is good and smooth, but because of the wind, an experience I already lived with a Caterham Super 7.

The 8 Cylinders engine is a feast. Here, you can't speak about the noise, but about the melody of this motor.

No need to push the gears too high, it doesn't like that, the maximum torque being somewhere between 3.5 and 4 000 revs.

Press the pedal and you are stuck on your seat, it is enchanting.

The direction is direct, the brakes are not assisted, but driving a Volvo without servobrake is a god training, the gearbox is macho but very pleasant to use.

A charm...

Here are the photos:

- The unbelievable panorama you have from the interior:

- The anachronic car, surrealistic for a car from the end of the 60ies.

This car is somewhere between Vlad Dracul and Batman's style...

The evidence?

Vlad driving fast to get his new virgin's neck...

Thanks to Noodia for letting me play with his extraordinary toy.

It was an unfrgettable experience, for sure!

Best,

Nicolas
