thanks for your responses below to my query. I went to the web, and found that the most prevalent watches for sale by the grey dealers currently are the models of SS 5712 and 5980. It's too bad that these prices are all high (ie more than MSRP). However, they are available. I'm just surprised.... are there that many "AD customers" out there who only want a fast profit via flipping, instead of keeping the watches for their collection to enjoy? The laws of supply of demand... If the supply goes up, the price goes ____. Maybe there are many watches being released prior to Xmas for the AD. Or.. it just happened that the latest batch sold all went to flippers instead of keepers. Just an observation with my web surfing lately.

People can charge whatever price they want. I think most of the people on this forum would flip a watch if they could make a $10,000.00 profit. It's just human nature. It's funny, no one seems to complain when an AD sells a watch at a deep discount. How d...

thanks fellow purists for your frank responses. The multiple points of view are enlightening. At the end, my take for this is to do business with a good, honest AD, and develop a long-term relationship, avoiding grey dealers. PP distributors in turn may h...
