Shell cordovan straps.
I’m interested in purchasing good quality shell cordovan straps to put on my current Longines (19mm) and a future watch purchase of the same lug size.
My questions are:
1. Which strap makers have you had a good experience with in terms of strap quality and longevity? So far, the best quality and most reasonably priced ones that I’d found are from NOMOS glashutte, believe it or not.
2 Would you consider going with non-standard colors (black or brown) risky? I’ve heard that the color can fade off in a weird way on the non-standard colors.
3. Anything else that I should pay attention to when choosing these straps?
