JLC should have made this their sports watch line and not the Polaris…

I am sure it would look great on a Tropic strap as well.

And yes, I am trying to work my way through the series! I wonder what kind of watch old George Smiley would wear???

When you think of George, is it Alec or Gary? Both were amazing in the role. I would think either would wear a simple, classic three hander, perhaps an Omega or maybe a Datejust.

Since I am only (2) books into the series, it is Alec for me as of right now. Who on earth is Gary??? I need to power through and get to him next.

Alex Guinness was in the original BBC miniseries from the ‘70’s. Gary Oldman was in the movie much later. They both played Smiley.

I am making my way through the series. I started with Spy Who Came In from the Cold and now halfway through Tinker. Very different than the Bond books (my all-time favorite series) but I am loving them so far!
