Romain Gauthier - Continuum.
In this climate of overhyped pieces, faux waitlists and outright snobbery, it is hard to find a brand and person as humble, respectful and generous as Romain Gauthier- Anyone who has met Romain knows exactly what I’m saying. As one of the friendliest faces In this industry, Romain happily spends hours with any and all watch enthusiasts curious enough to hear about his creations without a hint of a sales effort- just genuine nerd talk which often evolves into friendships. It is also rare to find someone capable of producing timepieces in his own image, transforming them into vessels of his soul and contributions to horology.
Watches and what makes them special is secondary only to the people behind them. If we resonate with the creators and visionaries, we subscribe to their vision and aspire to join them on their horological journey. The newly released Continuum represents more than a well executed and high quality watch - The Continuum represents the values, direction and the much needed respect I look for in this industry. It also represents the friendship I developed with Romain and the special bond formed during the creation of the Continuum.
I am immensely proud and grateful to welcome the Continuum. I have had the opportunity to visit Romain in Le Sentier last week and witness how this new creation was finished and assembled.
I have also witnessed how the components are finished by real craftswomen and men. I will go into detail in a separate post and leave you with some pictures of my piece.

Think it is beautiful, especially the movement
However I would need to see the watch in person to decide on the red star burst design on the sub dial. I do like how it matches the red accent on the crown

the crown is made of titanium faceted the same shape as the bezel with hand hammering in the centre and a rubber band around it.

ive worn the proto and can tell you that as lovely as it is, the production model is a lot better. The dial is brighter, the hands and numerals are much nicer with white lume and the movement is more interesting visually with perfect finishing and colours...

What size is that? The integrated strap may result in long ug to lug measurement though.
