Rolex Explorer II 16550 and Seadweller 16660. Two transitional Rolex.
Transitional, which means the era when plexy became sapphire. References which have been made during few years. We had the 16650, the 16660, the 16 750 / 16760 ( GMT MASTER ), and the Submariners 16800 / 168000.
The two which are the most popular are the 16550 and 16660. A kind of best of both vintage and modern words. Sapphire glass, yes, but the charm of the vintage with these superb dials.
Cream and Rail dial for the 16550, some nice patina for the 16660 indices.
Both having this indescriptible charm.
I hope to be able to add a transitional GMT MASTER one day... And maybe, but it is super hard to find, a black rail 16550 in great condition...
