Chopard

Pro One Addition

Hi Folks,
I am new to the Chopard brand, and just took the plunge on a gently, pre-owned Pro One from 2001 on the stainless steel bracelet from a true gentlemen seller. It is running very well thus far, and I am getting used to its extremely light tension on the winding crown. It takes a full 35-40 turns from dead stop to produce a power reserve of ~50 hours, in view of Chopard's 65 hour max. when fully wound and on the wrist for at least 2 .5 days. I haven't yet followed their recommendation for achieving full power reserve, but soon will.

The oft-discussed bezel turns relatively easy, but appears securely attached, barring any blow to an evil door jamb!

I will have Chopard perform a routine service later this year as time permits. Beautiful watch, and I struggled over this model in light of Gerard Perregaux SeaHawkII and Rolex Sea Dweller. You can't lose with any of these models, but I really prefer the dial design of the Pro One.

Best regards,
Frank
