Patek Philippe 3445
Hi guys - wonder if you can help. Just received my extract from the archives for my 3445 automatic and is an interesting remark on it. Firstly, in the remarks, it says the movement was made in 1973 and encased in 1984. Is this of any significance to concern me? Does it mean the movement was 'designed and made in 1973' but it took until 1984 to find a case for it!?? Confused - would appreciate some clarity from you guys if possible.
Many thanks.

Nothing to be concerned about

I have many vintage Pateks that have movements made in one year but cased several years later. Back in those days, the market was different and watch collecting wasn't a thing. Patek's annual production was way less than it is today. Today they can't keep...
