i'm interested in one of a couple of watches and wondered if anyone could give an opinion on the brands quality.
the first is Maurice Lacroix. i've always thought of them as a 'bling' brand, but their masterpiece range seem to be better than previous items. the particular model i'm interested in is the new regulateur which if i'm not mistaked is adjusted to 5 positions although it may not actually be COSC. i've always liked regulateurs for their clean cut lines and this particular model appeals with its 24hour dial. the value for money obviously has some bearing on the matter. i've also seen their skeleton auto which looks to be better quality than many on the market.
the second is Oris. they also seem to have improved considerably over the years and there are several models which appeal. i dont have a pvd watch and their williams F1 model looks good whereas their TT1 divers regulateur looks like a big bomb proof watch, but is far harder to read than the MLecroix.
unusual dials and/or technology along with reliability interest me more than gold, brand name etc. although i own 2 unique UN's i also have an RXW marina militare Radiomir 'style' and a meistersinger single hand. i'm sure most of you wouldnt touch them with a barge pole, but they look good, work well and keep time which is good enough for me.
if anyone could give some opinion on build quality i'd greatly appreciate it.
