Omega 2179 US ARMY.
Our dear Art told us many times that the Omega 2179 was issued for the US ARMY in the 40's.
I am lucky, thanks to him, to own one of them. He also explained us that many of them were not engraved on the case back.

And now, one which has recently been auctioned by Phillips, WITH the military engraving. It is the first time I see it.

3 peaces in EU. 3 peaces North America (incl Mexico) Around 2400 dollars. Check 1, have us army print. The one in Belgium have beautiful patina, and the us army inscription. Just a lousy 1560 E. source chrono24.
My example of the 2179
My understanding these were made in 6 runs, identified by a 1-6 after the ref. number in the case back. Mine is not marked "U.S. Army" and I think the marking is very scarce. ...
