OK, I'll admit I am starting
to struggle with what direction I want my collection to go.
It is pretty simple, 2 Rolex, 3 if you count my wife's, a Bell & Ross,
a Tag Carrera Twin Time, and a very nice group of vintage pieces.
Probably not a day goes by that I don't look at watches but am struggling
with the prices I am seeing. Some time only watches can run into the high
5 figures, way more when you add complications. I don't see myself ever
getting a chronometer, really have no use, don't need a moon phase.
Second time zone and date are all I really need. I'm not a "big box store"
watch kind of guy, but see no need to get into five figure time only watches,
but if you do I certainly respect that. Quartz?? Had them as a kid and am
tempted to try one again, The Cartier Solar Beat intrigues me quite a bit,
enough to go look at one when my AD has one. Finally telling myself that
it is OK not to spend thousands on a watch and still feel good about what
I am wearing for the day.
