Girard Perregaux

New vintage GP, need movement info please......

I recently purchase a nice vintage (circa 1952-55) manual wind dress watch. It has the sub-seconds at 6 o'clock, and the movement features 19 rubies. I was wondering, even though this is really quite vague, if you know any info about these movements. The numbers corresponding to the movement itself are: number 27BF2110 I'm unsure it this is the serial number for this movement, or a number used by GP to name and describe the attributes of this movement.
Last, if you do know anything about it, i would like to hear who made it (GP or contracted out), how many years it was made, and whether it was adjusted or not when leaving the factory. Thanks for any and all info, and have a great day!

Warm Regards,

Doug
