Audemars Piguet

new or old royal oak?

after reading some recent threads here, i've come to the conclusion that the 15202st is really more up my alley when compared with the nautilus, although i love the nautilus too, esp. with complications.  at any rate, i find the comparative ruggedness of the ap just a little more in line with my personality.

so i was reading in dec 2011 watchtime the interview georg riedel, and was struck by his comment: "I bought [a new model of] the same Royal Oak that I received on my 30th birthday, but the new bracelets are not as nicely finished as the original ones frm the 1970s."

what do you folks make of this?  agree/disagree?  are the older bracelets better executed?
