Any thought & comment with this Memomatic is truly appreciated...
I need to know if the dial and case are correct...as I seldom come across a gold version.
I had verified the movement to be correct...cal 980 19 jewels automatic.
The back-case is SS with the seahorse.

case shape appears correct and if case back is steel it is probably gold capped
which is a thick layer of gold bonded to a steel case, but only to the front. gold capping is much thicker than gold plate and it would be difficult to scratch through it. its not unusual for omega to produce a gold capped version of many of their watches...

The inside of the case back indicate it's 20 microns...ref 166.072. Any Omega experts can verify this pls? Thanks a million!
