My first Seiko (of November), the little-known 1520-3630
Hi Guys,
I haven't had a new watch for at least 3 months, and I am recovering from some medical procedures and need a distraction.
So while flipping through the Internet I found an interesting candidate. A quick Paypal payment and my new watch came winging over the Pacific Ocean to me.
It's a manual wind movement with no water resistance, on original mesh bracelet.
With an artsy design on the dial and the tiniest hands - they'd be right at home on the chrono subdials of my Flight Master Chrono I wore yesterday.
The design goes well with the shirt cuff and the industrial carpet in my office.

Of course I was boasting about it to my friend John, who immediately logged on to eBay and scored himself a gold variant of the same watch.
There's another one in Argentina, if anyone's interested... for the price of a couple beers at Art's favorite pool hall.

Actually I do
I started out thinking "a round of beers" and changed it to "a couple of beers" since the watch only cost $50 I thought that might cover "a couple". Mike
About the movement...
I can tell you a little about the movement. It was originally introduced in the "Niko Fine" line back in 1958. Like most of their miniature movements it is made to be exceptionally robust, having very thick square cut plates, shock protection on the escap...
Very nice vintage ones, I guess I can learn to find a nice vintage one at ebay

What ever I had, it went away, leaving me behind and still ticking... I haven't worn that watch for awhile, I think I'll go get it out of the watch case. Now I remember -- it's a bit hard to read the time at certain times of the day! For example, between ...
