My first (and only) bronze watch.
And it is one not so common : the Rado Captain Cook!
Well ,Rado is all about black ceramic design watches without a lot of horological interest?
That was my assumption of the brand before they released the Captain Cook inspired by a 60's model.
Here we have a watch with some vintage charm but with all the goodies offered by the Swatch group : curved ceramic bezel,domed sapphire and dial and a great overall finish.
The watch comes in an AU alloy that will trigger a more controlled patina (similar to what Tudor does) .
As opposed to the steel models,the bronze versions have raised indices and brushed hands which create a better 3D effect.
A special mention to the very well executed case.
The movement is the ETA Powermatic 80 with a superb accuracy : in my case +4 sec/week !!!

Ideal watch for the beginning of a journey. A steel case back hide the movement from side, but ok, it is what it is. I do not have a bronze watch, maybe somewhere in the future.
The steel (or Ti) case back is common to most bronze watches.
This to avoid skin irritation caused by the bronze alloy.
Important for me
I have a sensitive skin, and metals can irritate my skin. Stainless steel is no problem at all. Gold i do not know. I had an infection by wearing a pair of glasses made by an alloy which hurt me. I wear a pair of glasses made by a plastic which wear fine....
