Info about VC 1003?

I convinced my father he needed a nicer watch than his B&M Milleis, and lo and behold, he ran out and bought the Les Extra-Plates in Pink Gold with baton markers. This is listed as having the 1003 movement. Can anyone give me any information about the base ebauche used for this? My guess was that it was a nicely finished JLC ebauche, but I unfortunately have just enough knowledge to be dangerous to myself (can spot a 2892 or 7750 from 30 paces).

Thanks in advance,
Steve
