Chicago Midway airport on a beautiful winter's day, with excellent weather and no plane. Sigh. A 4-hr delay, they say. 
Has everyone else given up? Have I missed the Award thread?
I found a spare watch in the bottom of my camera bag - should I forget this torture and put it on??

Argh. No fun. I recall a very good sandwich shop in that airport...
I traveled through there a year ago. 4 hour delay, time for 2 nice sandwiches, and a few good beers! ;-)
What's with the 4 hour delays there?
We were only on a 3.5 hour flight , so maybe that's the time it took to fly the plane out from California. In any event, once in the air, we got free drinks, served by cute and friendly flight attendants, and all the nutritional snacks we could handle... ...
