it can play a dress up or dress down game...i've tried few straps on it & it works well. you can see some posts from ChristianDK with some strap variations too. you feel the heft of Pt of course but it doesn't rotate / topple off the wrist...it sits well ...

i've a 16,5 cm wrist & 40 suits me well...the difference between 38 vs 40 in CS is the bezel. either way you wouldn't go wrong. 38mm hardly come by now-a-days...so it would be an interesting pursuit ! Best, mahesh.,
