Help with vintage Glashutte
Hello. I am new to this forum. I am in the beginning stages of collecting watches. I have purchased a couple, Breitlings etc. I am looking at vintage watches and came across a Glashutte. I was taken by its beauty and wanted to learn more about the company and it's watches. I have begun this process. Additionally I have been given the opportunity to purchase a vintage Glashutte. I've been trying to research the watch unsuccessfully. I have been referred to a couple of books that I plan to get. However, during the interim, I was wondering if anyone could give me any resource that I could go to on the internet for information or if anyone in this forum might have information on this model. The watch is fairly old and will have to be restored. I have located a specialist for this, however, I'm trying to determine what I should pay for the watch and its restoration. I do not plan to sell but pass my collection on to my son. The only information that I have on the piece is its series number GUB 69.1 -- Number on the back of the case193394 -- and the fact that it has 17jewels (Rubis) I would certainly appreciate any information that anyone might have on this model or where I might go for additional research material. I believe this watch would have an awsome beauty when properly restored
