Help with service and repair
Hey guys,
Wanted to ask for advice, suggestions, questions, etc...
1) As most of you know I recently (October 2014) purchased a Twinfly Greytech. Well the other day I tried to time a trip downtown and I noticed the hands got stuck when I tried the flyback function. Now I have only worn this watch a handful of times since I purchased it and only in an office setting. I probably have tried the flyback chrono function maybe 5-6 times since purchasing it. I took it to my local Montblanc store to have it serviced. They are saying because of the in-house movement and the limited edition nature it will need to go back to LeLocle for repair and will take a minimum of three months. They also said that there is no guarantee that it will be covered under warranty. Has anyone had anything like this happen to them? I am a bit concerned both for how long the repair will take and the possibility that I might be out of pocket for something that in my mind should be under warranty. Of course, I could be panicking for nothing.
and while on the subject, I have a few MB watches nearing two years old. What does the committee recommend is a good time to get them serviced? Do I only take them to a MB Boutique to get them serviced and should I expect them to be out for three months at a wack for something like this?
Any words of wisdom or encouragment will be greatly appreciated. Thanks
Todd

I'll certainly keep everyone posted. I'm still the biggest Montblanc guy don't get me wrong. As I type I'm gazing at my beautiful Rieussec on my left wrist. Three months does seem like a long stretch though and the warranty comment puzzles me but you are ...

One question...when you purchased your Greytech, was it with an authorized dealer? The main thing to have is the original sales receipt and the warranty paperwork signed/dated. If it was originally purchased from brick/mortar, you should have no problems....

The Scottsdale boutique were great and located another Greytech to exchange so I would not have to wait the extended time while it went back to LeLocle. They have always been great to me. While I was not thrilled to wait for three months to get my watch b...
