Glad this one is back..
4-5 months wait for presumably an overhaul. First reason was some technicians were training abroad hence fewer folks on the repair bench. After a follow up, it was gaskets waiting for importation. Gaskets.
Well, I didn’t blow mine and quite understand and even appreciate inefficiencies here and there. All is good. I give myself a pleasant shock these days alternating between this 47mm and the 38mm Omega RM. Wow big! Wow small! Hahaha! I love it. This hobby of ours I tell ya.. gives me a smile in my face.
Still waiting for a 232 to serendipitously pop up in the local market. Still kicking myself for letting an opportunity pass. After that probably something from the 1940 rad line like a 587 and I should be temporarily ok.
Best, Echi

Took a chance online with Panatime as I was desperate to scratch my canvass strap itch.. without breaking the bank. Its fused with a thin leather like lining. Seems ok although I would’ve preferred all canvass if that were possible. Best, Echi
