Omega

First vintage omega, how'd I do?

 

Hi, this is my first post and first Omega, I saw it on ebay and fell in love. Don't have a lot of info on it, was wondering if anyone could help?

CASE no 5674171

MANUAL WIND OMEGA MOVEMENT SERIAL no 4879485

Was also wondering if it is possible to repair the dial, or if it would have to be replaced? Also I have seen that these used to be available with a metal lattice cover for the glass, and if anyone knew where i could find one?

Any information would be very much appreciated.

Thanks Bill. Its running very well after a couple of days teething problems. It started by gaining 3-4 mins an hour but after a couple of days it settled down, and after spending a day next to my radio controlled alarm clock, it had lost only 2 seconds in... 

Dial looks fine to me
