First let me say Hello as I am new here. Next, I seek thoughts on ths 30T2 watch
I believe it to be all original and I wanted to see if anyone can shed some light on the correct crown and crystal needed.
Thanks in advance,
Kurt.

A warm welcome to the forum! Your watch seems to be all orignal and authentic including dial and crown! It is the original crown which was used on this reference 2318 in the beginning of the 40ies! Tell us some more about this watch please. Enjoy this nic...

Erich, Thanks for the reply. I am awaiting it's return from a frien in Illinois. As you can see inside the caseback, very few hands have touched this one. I am glad to hear that the crown is indeed original. I don't believe the crystal is and I will need ...

I too, enjoy the mix of old and new in my collection. I do regret having had a few watches' dials refinished, though, for most of them, it didn't result in any real diminishing of value, just learned to appreciate the patinas a little later. Here's one th...

Hi, Nice watch. Never, ever, polish it or otherwise "deface" this gem, no matter who does it. The scratches and wear on the case are part of its history and give it a natural look. Polishing literally diminishes the watch and gives it a gussied-up look. A...

Kurt, that Wittnauer is in superb condition. something you dont come across often. i agree wholeheartedly with not having dials refinished. having a case lightly polished however, is a different matter. if it were sent for service it would be polished/sat...
