Finally satisfied!
It's been a 8m+ odyssey finding the right strap for my CK2998. Loved the blue of the original strap, was luke warm with the white contrast stitching but for sure always felt that alligator is a mismatch for a sports/ driver's watch. After some trial and error, I think I found the final 'rims' for my Speedy:
Proper Sailcloth in a bit a too flashy blue, but let's see over time...
