I believe it was made in 2000 to commemorate AP's 125th Anniversary in a series of 125 in steel, 50 in yellow gold, and 75 in rose gold. This one appears to be the steel version... Here's a link to a great reference post on it by ThomasM: http://www.thepu...
Sweet pic Allen. The StarWheel in the Millenary case is just awesome. I'm really hoping that AP will bring this movement back someday. Regards, ED-209 This message has been edited by ED209 on 2012-03-18 19:38:03
I'm surprised they were given up for adoption, but nothing surprises me about buying/selling/trading anymore. Tastes change, and priorities have to be set, unfortunately... Well, I bet it was a wonderful experience owning them.
and for me, what makes it a little funny, is that more then 10 years after, still a lot of people talk about it, wanna see it, or even thinking to have one for their collection, in the time it came out, after 2 years you could find them still in the shops...
But it is also true for other watches, like the Rolex 1655 or the Ulysse Nardin Freak. Some are trends setters, others are trend followers. Best, Nicolas
