Can I be a jerk for once ?

I don't know how to make this post, It will be quite difficult because maybe some people will not like it. But let me try to give my honest opinion, and I hope you'll understand what I mean.

I know this site pretty well and I know quite a lot of members, I also met moderators and in fact I can't say anything bad about the purists. I follow more than one site ( probably like most of us) and I dare to say the purists is my favorite.

Now the thing is ... I was really looking forward to see the 'special' watches made for the purists 10th anniversary. A year ago another famous site ( 1 single brand) did something similar and they also made a hell of a watch which half the world wanted LOL. So I thought thepurists would also give us some REALLY STUNNING pieces. And they did ! Month after month we saw a new watch made to celebrate this anniversary. Watches are personal taste and like the French say 'les goûts et les couleurs on ne discute pas' some of them I loved others were not for me. Everybody will have his own favorites.

But now my point of criticism ....

I know the purists is a bit above the average. I mean the brands we talk about on this forum are the upper class. We do not have a forum for Oris or Stowa. It 'begins with Rolex, Panerai, Zenith ...)

BUT, was it not possible to offer such a watch too for this anniversary ? Like said I love most of the 10 brands .........but almost all of them start at 40.000 or 50.000 euro :-( And I was so hoping for a 5K Panerai or Rolex .... These would have been my favorites, Zenith or IWC or JLC could also offer a great watch for a more affordable price.

I was hoping to buy one too but with prices starting at 40.000 euro (except for the Bvlgari but that is one I do not loke very much) I have a feeling a lot of people were a little bit dissapointed

So please, don't get me wrong... this is not a troll post and I hope you understand my feelings but I'm affraid the watches offered today were only for a very , VERY select group of people and I do think most of the people reading and posting here can't afford such a 50-60-70 K euro watch
