Bezel-less 2998 Speedmaster??
Hi All,
I bought this watch probably 10 years ago and put it away in my collection. When I bought it there was speculation that it was perhaps a salesmans sample. Years later I saw an identical one for sale on a site called Fitzwatch.
Just curious if anyone has ever seen one like it or knows any history. This is the first time since I purchased the watch that I have shared photo's. I did have John at Omega run a history, and his only note was that the bezel was missing, As you can see the back is stamped 2998-6, Mvmt. number is 189xxxxx.
Please advise if you have any insight on this watch.
