Bernhard Lederer CIC 39 Longitude
In my thread dedicated to Observatory dial watches, I recently highlighted Bernhard Lederer's wonderful Triple Observatory Certified CIC 44 (Central Impulse Chronometer ref. CIC 9012.10.710).
But, at 44 x 12.2 mm, this watch was a big one and not fitted to all wrists.
So, the new CIC 39 Longitude, which is very close aesthetically, but which only measures 39 x 10.75 mm, is a very welcome creation (not considering the very high-end price of course).
Cased in white gold, it comes in two dial variants, one Pure White, the other Cobalt Blue, both inspired by navigation on the sea, and each limited to only 12 pieces.
At the heart of the CIC 39 mm Longitude beats a movement with a dual detent escapement, reinforced by two remontoirs d’égalité.
How do you like this new model?
Best, Emmanuel
A/ PURE WHITE DIAL, REF. CIC 9016.60.710
Press release: "The pure white dial evokes the dazzling brilliance of sails billowing in the wind, the clarity of a summer sky offshore. Each reflection recalls the calm of a tranquil sea at dawn, where silence is interrupted only by the steady heartbeat of the mechanical movement."
