Second place for Darren Clarke at Scottish Open
The unbelievable series of AP Ambassadors good performances continues with the 2nd place on July 11th of the Northern Irish 42 years old Darren Clarke at The Barclays Scottish Open.
He finished 9 under the par and 3 points behind Italian Edoardo Molinari. He leaded the two first rounds, but the last fight was hard from the moment he tried to play his ball out of the mud and water by the third green but needed three attempts at it and ran up a double-bogey seven.
Thanks to this result, he is now qualified for the British Open which will start on July 15th.
Darren started the week with a victory at the JP McManus Invitational Pro-Am Tournament in Ireland on July 8th ahead of a lot of favorites like Graeme McDowell (5th), Rory McIIroy (19th), Tiger Woods (23th) and many others.
