I love the slightly faded bezel and well patined dial. An icon, an evergreen the only problem is that nowadays prices went through the roof especially for 6542 with Bakelite. Best.

The 6542 reached the sky, if it comes with the bakelite bezel. The 1675 is still doable, even if it is harder and harder to fund, yes. [nt]

Yes the 6542 is not crazy yet but a Bakelite 6542 has really skyrocked, especially if it come with a tropical dial. Honestly I do not understand those crazy prices for watches, which were made in large numbers.

Well, there were not that many 6542... Made from 1955 to 1959.

A very nice 1675 Gilt !.. I couldn't quite identify the crownguards - are those PCG's ? Or regular ?.. I would have guessed the 2nd ?!

Also, like your bracelet & the obvious correct buckle.. & Yes, these 1675s in good condition have gone up; glad I've found one for me + my beloved 6542, including the proper Plexi & the bakelite, well preserved. Continue to enjoy in best health, my friend...
