Here's a picture I dreamt about, to be credited to our friend Ryan, who took it during the last Rolex GTG.
An Historical picture, gathering 3 watches, which share a common point, the US Navy Seals.
To make it short, in the Mid Fifties, the US Navy Seals wanted to replace their good old Canteen, and a competition began featuring some of the stars of the era, the Fifity Fathoms, the Rolex Submariner 5508, and a ...Bulova.
In the first years of the 60ies, the military specifications changed, once again, and Bulova gave up.
BUT, a few prototypes were released, 2, 3 or 4, I don't really know
The winner was...The Tornek Rayville.
Here is the picture, featuring the TR 900, the Milspec ( a special model with the Tornek hands and dial ), and the Bulova Proto.
To see these 3 watches together is a grande " Première " I wanted to share with you.
Hope you will enjoy it!
Thanks to Ryan for the photo, to JC for the Milspec and the TR 900, and to the owner of this Bulova, who is kindly invited here, of course, to tell us more about his watch!
Best to All,
Nicolas
