After months of trying, testing, reading and speaking to fellow collectors and friends about possibly getting my first (and probably only) Panerai, imagine my surprise when I received this from my wife as a birthday gift. The other one was the PAM512 - the simple, thin and smaller case made it something that I felt could be good for both formal and casual occasions, though the spring bars were something I was a little bothered about. Richard
