A Seamaster Memomatic has landed.....
Well, I have a long list of vintage Omega's that I would love to have in my collection and one of them was the Seamaster Memomatic. I had for its time, an advanced alarm movement caliber 980, where both the minutes and hours could be set.
This one I got on an auction with a low bid and was quite sure I would be outbid before the end but that did not happen

But no regrets
It is a "second" generation 166.072 with the different case shape described in Desmonds fine essay

Seamaster Memomatic Watch.pdf
Dont think it have been used much, my watchmaker think it is untouched in the movement and I had to remove a melted gasket (what a mess to clean up!)
