A no date 43mm Bathyscaphe...
... was introduced today by Blancpain: the Bathyscaphe Mokarran Limited Edition, 50 pieces exclusively for the New York and Las Vegas Boutiques.
The watch features a black ceramic case, a green sunburst dial, a green ceramic bezel and it is powered by cal 1318, the no date version of cal 1315.
It is not an official Ocean Commitment watch, but it is linked to a Blancpain Ocean Commitment project, so 1000$ of each watch are donated to the project with the Mokarran Protection Society to measure and identify great hammerhead sharks in French Polynesia. Thanks for sharing dear Henrik - I think I prefer the metal Nato hardware on the 1st Bathyscaphes in this series. The watch looks great with no date window - I wonder if I could live with
colour - maybe I like it - I think I will give it some time to sink in Best Will.
I'm digging all the green dials!
This isn't the one for me, but if the brand's continue bringing out green dials, it will just be a matter of time before I take the plunge. Thanks for posting. M4
Not sure whether the green dial fits the (rather austere) personality of the watch.
But as usual would need to be seen for a fair judgement.
I half-like it
Like the dial and bezel colours. But the price is too steep for the tech involved, and there is no bracelet in the package. For the same amount, one can get more tech from other brands, and a much needed bracelet. But luxury purchases are illogical. I kin...
