In this insightful post, sham1 shares his experience acquiring two rare independent timepieces: the IWC Pallweber and the Kudoke 2 SJX edition. His detailed observations on the Kudoke 2 SJX, particularly its unique titanium case and comfortable suede strap, offer a valuable perspective for collectors considering independent watchmakers. sham1's reflections on the appeal of direct engagement with watchmakers highlight a key differentiator for many enthusiasts in the luxury watch community.

Really looks great on your wrist ππΌππΌππΌ Wear it in best of health. And really excited to hear you have a Kikuchi coming in soonβ¦you have quite the collection of independents.
Kudoke sounds exotic and the looks are stunning. A few weeks ago we had a discussion here about two handed watches. I am a pro, so your watch is a go for me. We do not discuss regulators, that is a bit too out of the box for me. I must get used to it. For the no date fans, here is again a fine watch without a date.
Your on fire again my friend with such gorgeous NWAs and incomings . Wear it in best of health ππ»π€
but then took a liking to independents as I could physically speak to the watch makers which for me is a huge bonus. Some people prefer a brand with history and that's fine. I prefer a brand that will cater to the differing needs of each customer and who tries to understand what the customer wants rather than one that just mass produces to cater for the majority in the aim of maximising profits. Thank you for your kind words.
as the watch was heavily over subscribed. Rumour has it that SJX did his due diligence to ensure that the watches went to the 'right' homes. Thank you for your feedback!
A unique dial! A clever idea which few would have thought of.
