MTF presents the Chopard Mille Miglia GTS Chronograph as a prime gift idea for the 2015 holiday season, highlighting its significance as an entry point into the iconic Mille Miglia collection. This article delves into the evolution of the GTS series, which introduced in-house movements for some models while retaining a third-party movement for the featured chronograph.
As soon as we get the pumpkins out of the way, it will be Christmas Time again.
Santa Claus will be making his List and checking it twice for all the boys and girls, naughty or nice.
To this end, we present a series of 'Christmas 2015 Chopard Gift Ideas' for PuristS.
For Gents part 1: Mile Miglia GTS Chronograph.
This is a good entry point into Chopard for big boys with the iconic Mille Miglia franchise.
Since its launch in 1988, Mille Miglia watches have become a flagship collection for Chopard.
In 2015, Chopard introduces an evolution of this grand classic with the Mille Miglia GTS (Grand Turismo Sport) Collection. This new collection, composed of a three-hand and date chronometer, a power reserve watch and a chronograph, sees the introduction of two in-house Chopard Mille Miglia movements.
The quintessential watch of the vintage racing Mille Miglia Collection is the chronograph that is still powered by a good 3rd party movement
Chopard upgraded a few case, hands and dial details that were reported in our Baselworld Report. CLICK the following URL link to read:
As we have PuristS collectors all over the world in different climes at Christmas time, perhaps we should note that the watch is available with Dunlop Racing inspired rubber strap OR polished steel bracelet.
This was not so obvious from our Baselworld Report.

even if it's an ETA movement. I was among the very first few to saw the news and it was still available on the PCA website. If they have put in this one, I will definitely jump on it and will be a happy camper. Thanks for the Christmas preview, MTF. I've not been a good man this year so Santa's most likely going to pass my chimney. Rgds Raymond
Were you looking at the steel or gold version of the PCA Edition? Chopard Mille Miglia Porsche Club of America 60th Anniversary You may not be as naughty as you think. Don't miss Christmas 2015 Chopard Gift Ideas later parts for Gents and Ladies Regards, MTF
The gold has only 6 and price is too much for an ETA movement, imho. Rgds Raymond
These days there still are some marketing cooperations between tire manufacturers and other brands but using the same compound would not be sensible. And as Dunlop (as a brand) is owned / produced by different tire manufacturers on different continents / in different countries, this would be a challenging task, too
But seemed like a good bet (as seen from your picture)
