Las Vegas , NV . – Oct. 29, 2012 – Caroline Scheufele , Chopard Co-President and Artistic Director, hosted the Grand Opening of the Chopard Las Vegas Boutique at the luxurious Wynn Las Vegas Resort yesterday, Sunday, Oct. 28, 2012. Welcoming the company's new location was Sir Elton John, who frequents Vegas for his residency show, "The Million Dollar Piano," attending the Grand Opening to lead the ribbon-cutting ceremony. Also, in attendance were close friends of the house David Furnish and actresses Malin Akerman and Christina Hendricks, both stunning in signature jewelry pieces by Chopard.

Sir Elton John, long time friend of the brand, attended as guest of honor during highly anticipated opening event

The new boutique, which embraces Chopard's signature global design concept, will serve as a must-see destination for its sophisticated aesthetic, which highlights the stunning haute joaillerie, timepieces and other finely crafted products for which the 152-year-old house is world renown. Designed according to Scheufele's artistic vision, the 800-square-foot location is a lavish jewel box representing the elegance of the brand and showcases the constant development of this innovative family-owned company.

 

A new extension of the Elton John Watch Collection, co-designed by Scheufele and Sir Elton John, was exclusively exhibited during the private soirée. The collection, now available in a 38mm edition, benefits the Elton John AIDS Foundation which Caroline Scheufele has supported for nearly 15 years, raising millions of dollars annually since 1992 in an effort to promote prevention programs and direct treatment for those living with HIV/AIDS around the globe.

are probably GREAT for the brand, but are a total turn off to me. Elton John was cool about 5000 years ago. Now he's a bloated billionaire with not a heartfelt note to be heard in his repertoire... what a gross sell out, Las Vegas reptile.

Dear Mostel, We love you here on PuristS and accept personal opinions within the bounds of civility.....the PuristS Code and all that. Your first comment was acceptable...that you are turned off by such associations. True and heartfelt. But the attack on Sir Elton John (a Knight of the Realm) became unacceptable when using reptilian adjectives. Even if he really were 5000 years old and has put on weight, he is still a loyal friend of the Brand. Maybe you had a bad day at work. Please revert to t
