19 May 2010, a strong audience of 40 pax of PuristS attended the yearly Chopard PuristSPro event to preview the 2010 L.U.C Novelties which are also specially created to celebrate Chopard's 150th Anniversary, at the Chopard Singapore Flagship store located...

It is indeed heavy, and also the strap was a bit long for many of us. The counter-weight idea is logical, hopefully factory would test it. Perhaps would need a 'friction-pad' instead of a polished-surface at the back of the cradle contacting on the skin t...

Out of curiosity, what were your impressions of the 1937?

1937 belongs to the understated, with a beautiful slate dial. Love the new details on the case, but would prefer it to be smaller like 39mm instead of 42mm though it wears well. I prefer less space around the movement, even though I could not see it, with...

A large amount of watches are indeed waiting for me in Singapore. Even quite a few fountain pens are waiting for me in Singapore. I am truly hoping to visit Singapore sometime soon. I have never been to Singapore and I am sure that I would benefit greatly... 

Although I must say I'm disappointed not to be able to attend due to health issues (minor one, but still...) Looks like the attendance was a bit overwhelming, 40+ guests! There are many admirers of LUC! Loved the pics, esp the wrists shots (I'm esp tickle...

Tks, I'm much better already...thank goodness. I'm much tempted by the lovely pics and wrist shots...of the 1937. So simple, yet subtly exquisite esp the sunburst pattern....the red second hand raises the pulse rate a little...I like it v much.

Hi Tim Only worried about the Asean-wrists... tend to be small, thus the little experiment to check if the Tribute is wearable. Yes, it is always enjoyable with Chopard as host. Just posted more pictures of the watches, may wish to check them out at: chop...

in terms of how well they wear on the wrist inspite of the size due to the lug design. The all-in-one was also very understated for what it is and despite the diamond bezel I felt. The Engine One was also much nicer in the metal than in pics and the weigh...

I like those watches, their dial printed with picture, it likes an art piece. beautiful and uiquie.... available only in Singapore and Swiss. Great that Singapore boutique is able to bring in such pieces for us to viewing. it is recommend to visit the bou...

... i am sure all of us who were attending the event enjoyed ourselves very much. as Kong said, there was full Chopard enthusiants attending the event. all of us were so lucky to have first hand to try all these new released great timepieces on our wrist.... 

Think for the 1937, your inputs may have been 'truncated' ,perhaps you were typing too fast Will have more pics coming for the 2010 pieces, and yes, the Urushi pieces, they just arrived a day before our event. I've covered it last year, a bit more info fo...

There was lots of eye candy around, but 3 watches caught my eye that night. L.U.C Engine One Tourbillon - The pictures don't do this watch justice. Much more impressive in the metal as compared to the pictures. It is BEAUTIFUL... And amazingly LIGHT! The ... 

Hi Tic Tac Wonder if the markers on the crystal, if it is not painted black, just left it as engraved, will it be interesting? Likewise, I agreed the cradle's locking button need some finetuning, as it was near the raised wristbone. Kong

Kong, we debated this point. Some of us feel that it will look a lot classier if they didn't have the printed markers on the dial. It's going to be a challenge to integrate the markers into the design of the dial/movement though, given it's already very e... 

The pocket watch tribute was great not just in the literal sense. Lovely dial, as well. Cheers, Dirk
