I wonder how the dial is made. And what the dial is made of? Gold? And how they achieve this finish? Is it some sort of strange guilloche? Doesn't look mathematical enough to be used on a Rose Lathe machine. So probably not guilloche. Very cool! Looking forward to mine!

The peaks of the iris are too sharp and fine to be pressed. Maybe it's galvanically grown? Either way, it's definitely on my mind...

The absence of the date makes a huge difference and turn a nice watch into a beautiful one.
Looks like a regular version w center seconds hand but no date
Glad Chopard is not already making more variations of this special salmon dial XPS. But I do wonder how long they will resist the urge. If they are smart, they will produce this reference sparingly and not use it for multiple editions.

I think there is a limit to how many of these calibers they can produce so hopefully that will limit the number of future XPS editions.
This reference will become their 39mm Royal Oak as long as they don't screw it up.
Honestly, I am not optimistic and expect they will pump it out in other color dials, dealer editions, small limited batches, etc. It won't diminish my joy to wear it at all, but it will be a huge missed opportunity for Chopard if it happens like that. Fin...
Don't want to assume anything BUT regardless if KFS produces more XPS models in the future, it will NEVER equal the amount of AP models that exist 😉🙈🙊🙉. And again, the XPS is NOT meant to be a mass produced model anyways 👍
Just think of the XPS as the Speedmaster 321 for Omega. Yes there are many other Speedmaster models BUT the 321 models are extra special 😉
