Chopard's inspiration aside, allow me to ask you a question Melvyn. You seem clearly supportive of the notion that this Chopard watch is indeed the finest "sounding" striking watch ever made. I think you have had the opportunity to handle many repeaters from many brands over the years, and therefore you seem qualified to have such beliefs.
I am curious, have you experienced Audemars Piguet's Royal Oak Concept Supersonnerie in person? I would love to read a comparison of these two (I have not experienced either). I would think it to be difficult to declare one or the other "the best". Maybe one is louder, or one is more clear, but perhaps "the best" would require some definition first.
Are there other repeaters that can challenge Chopard's claims of having produced the best striking watch in the world?
