Took the watch back to the AD today. They said they have never seen that happen before on any brand and could not possibly understand how it got through QC. They called their other store to see if they had another one in stock to do an exchange but they didn't have any. They called their Chopard rep directly and was told that it wouldn't be until March or April at the earliest that they could get another one in. So they said my best bet was to just wear it for the next few weeks and then bring it in sometime next month and they will send it in for service. Supposedly, if the part is available, the service will only take about a week or two. Guess that's my best option. It's really not that big of a deal as the watch is fine in all other aspects. More of an annoyance and inconvenience than anything. So, when in the market to buy a watch, add this to your list of things to check before walking out the door.
