Back in the saddle (BCD?) again...

It’s been a while since I’ve been able to shop for a watch, but my 5120, while very nice, is not something I feel comfortable taking to the beach or swimming with the kids.

So, after keeping my eye out for a nice dive watch, I finally was able to close a deal on this GMT. The bezel doesn’t interact with the date function, unfortunately, but I do like the orange and black contrast. This watch came with what looks like the 22/20mm leather strap, so the (double) deployant buckle is the kind that “locks” onto the strap with a screw. I think there is another strap combination with an 18mm strap that has a conventional (single) pin buckle deployant.

Either way, my first since the disaster in London, but I couldn’t stay away for long.  And anyways, my stereo setup is complete, so that hobby is done for a while.

This watch also has an interesting bracelet. I think it would be difficult to find. This is a great watch and I think under appreciated. Great catch! Enjoy!

Oh boy

Now I know what I’ll be hunting for a while!

Definitely a better travel watch

...the World traveller that is. But I like the GMT “complication”. If only this watch had not come with a date function. Oh well!

Ah, great Chopard GMT. Very nice in person...
