Answers to „why?“ need reports by Insiders and contribute so much to the quality of a forum

Many thanks, Magnus, for digging a bit deeper than to what you can nowadays expect from commercial publications on watches. As lover of fine food, I find photos of the delicacies served at presentations by manufacturers interesting, but they cannot quite compensate for a lack of information beyond the official communications handed down by the brands at such events.
Thanks have therefore also to go to Chopard for the trust in their employees and products to make a direct contact possible with the people really involved with the conception of a watch. The resulting most educating (and thus also entertaining) report creates, at least for me, a lot more interest in the products than what comes usually from press departments. I hope we get many more of such insider's views served by you. Looking forward to your next manufacturer visits!

I was a convert

Bjorn, I was an early naysayer about the revised dauphine fusee hands on new L.U.C models. Then, I spent an afternoon with Mr Guy Bove and Mr Karl-Friedrich Scheufele at the Manufacture. I received pretty much the same technical design explanation as Magn...
