Chopard

Had the wonderful opportunity to tour the Chopard factories including the Ferdinand Berthoud workshop in Fleurier. The extremely high level of finishing has been well documented, and it was a pleasure to see the artisans at work and the tools they use. Ha...  

As for the brand, they are top of the food chain IMHO. Above GF and certainly above FP Journe and Debethune. Amazing chronometry-focused tech and impeccable finishing. Sadly, they’ll remain affordable only to a few

Very rare to see a dedicated watch maker who really concentrate on the time piece itself.

MSRP to MSRP I think the FB watches are about right. I looked hard at a few FBs and handled them side by side with GF, DB, generally the GF finishing is more luxurious but more $ and the DB finishing less so but also lesser in cost. Seems about right. Tha... 

But the ratio of level [and number of different types] of finishing to price seemed highest in FB (compared to the others).

We are at the top of the watchmaking mountain here.

These are some of the top watches ... period. Maybe a bit bug, but this is all dream land for me anyways 😁

I understand Darren. With such a factory tour it is hard to temper enthusiasm. You understand the manufacture, like the people and they made the best watches in the world. The exotic techniques needs huge room, the integration in smaller cases is what we ...

FB is just one another reason I like LUC so much, I know "the house" and what it can do...(although, probably will never get that VIP factory tour and special management treat )
